• If you save some money before you start, it can really help. After the first year when your studies get more intensive, you may not find time to earn extra money.
• Try and keep some money back – you never know when you may need it (or want to splash out on a treat!)
• If you don't need all your maintenance loan for living costs, you could put it into a high interest account and draw on what you need when you need.
